Mondolé Ski is the largest skiing basin in the province of Cuneo. It can be reached from Prato Nevoso, Artesina, Frabosa Soprana and Roccaforte Mondovì.
A skiing district that includes the towns of Artesina, Frabosa Soprana and Prato Nevoso, with over 130 kilometres of slopes for skiers of every level, cross-country panoramic trail, programmed artificial snow, 4 accesses to the skiing basin, 31 lifts among chairlifts, ski-lifts, and moving carpets with “hands free” ski-pass system. And even nocturnal skiing, reserved school fields, equipped snow-parks, snowboard slopes, go-karts on ice, snowmobiles, play parks for children, mountain huts and refuges at altitude; besides qualified Ski Schools, there are specialized ski clubs and services, suitable for an ideal stay on the snow.
ARTESINA
Descents and slopes for everyone, from the most simple to technical and to the most difficult. Beginners find suitable slopes with the baby one and the school field, while at a high altitude, you can ski on the Pian della Turra slopes that offer a priceless view over the Alpine setting. For cross-country enthusiasts there is also a splendid 10 km panoramic trail.
PRATO NEVOSO
Gentle slopes and open ones make Prato Nevoso the ideal skiing resort for those who are learning to ski and for children. In the basin, Pratolandia, the Snow park, “IL NOTTURNO nocturnal slope”, as well as the normal slopes, represent innovative attractions for tourists. - A veritable playground on the snow, Pratolandia offers games, music, entertainment and fun for the younger children. - For the jumps and twists of snowboard enthusiasts, there is the Snow park, a reserved area with new equipment. - To experience the thrill of skiing under the stars “IL NOTTURNO” offers illuminated slopes and Snow park, served by 4 seater chairlifts.
FRABOSA SKI
The tradition of hospitality in Frabosa Soprana has a lengthy history. Already at the end of the forties, when there were only woods and some mountain huts in other areas, in Frabosa you could breathe the air of the fashionable tourist area and skiing was practised on the slopes of Monte Moro, served by the homonymous chairlift, one of the first in all of Italy. Today Frabosa Soprana, while keeping its ancient traditions and its warm reception deeply rooted, it has the appearance of a fresh and modern winter tourist resort and not only: since winter 2006/2007 Frabosa Ski has been part of the Mondolé Ski skiing district.
VALLE ELLERO
Valle Ellero, with the new 2 chairlifts in the village of Rastello, inaugurated in 2006, offers an excellent link with the skiing basin of Mondolè Ski. Easy to reach, besides downhill skiing there is also a wonderful 15 km beaten cross-country track, ski instructors, nature trails for walks with snowshoes or on horseback, ice skating rink, discotheque and for wellness the wonderful Spa in Lurisia that will ensure wonderful moments of relaxation.
